Technology Associate Consultant - ServiceNow

About the role

Telstra is hiring a permanent Technology Associate Consultant focused on ServiceNow. You will help senior technical staff engineer, develop, deliver and support ITSM platform solutions in Defence environments, supporting the DevSecOps team with configuration, testing, deployment and operational support. The role builds foundational capability and supports the transition to an internally owned operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks including configuration, testing, deployment and support of ServiceNow platform capabilities
• Collaborate with senior team members on the design, development and delivery of ServiceNow solutions
• Support ITSM workflows including incident, problem and change management
• Help with integration activities and workflow development under the guidance of senior engineers
• Support platform operations, including basic incident resolution and service requests
• Contribute to documentation of configurations, processes and operational procedures
• Identify issues and escalate risks to senior team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation, and support transition activities such as knowledge capture and internal capability uplift

Required profile

• AGSVA NV2 security clearance or ability to obtain it
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience in IT technical support and IT Service Management exposure
• Experience in Agile practices
• ServiceNow training or certifications desirable

Required skills

• ServiceNow platform fundamentals or adjacent technologies such as BMC Remedy and Service Manager
• Basic scripting or automation awareness
• ITSM process awareness
