Technical Trainer

About the role

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is looking for a Technical Trainer based in Brisbane. Working within the national Support team, you will design and deliver technical training that raises the competency of service technicians and internal staff across HCA's product range. The role suits someone with strong mechanical or electrical expertise who can share it with others.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run hands-on and classroom training on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems of Hitachi construction and mining equipment
• Assess learner competency and adjust delivery to suit different experience levels
• Maintain and update training materials to reflect new products, technical bulletins and evolving best practice
• Work with the Support team and product specialists to keep training content accurate and field-relevant

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel, Electrical or a related discipline
• Experience servicing or supporting construction or mining equipment; familiarity with Hitachi products is an advantage
• Proven ability to train adult learners in workshop and classroom settings
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain it

• Strong written communication for clear, accurate technical content
• Methodical problem-solving, able to explain complex systems to varied audiences
