Technical Support Officer – School ICT Support

About the role

We are building a pool of Technical Support Officers to provide ICT assistance across John Curtin College of the Arts. The role can be permanent or fixed‑term, full‑time or part‑time, and will support the school throughout the 2026‑2027 academic period.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line advice and troubleshooting for hardware, software and network issues to staff and students.
• Collaborate with administrative teams to maintain and develop the school’s network infrastructure.
• Deliver technical training and support on a range of applications used throughout the campus.
• Install, configure and maintain ICT equipment and information systems in line with Department of Education policies.
• Keep accurate records of ICT assets, licences and resources.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in school or similar educational environment preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑moving setting.
• Strong communication skills to assist non‑technical users.

Required skills

• Hardware installation and maintenance.
• Software troubleshooting and user support.
• Network configuration and basic administration.
• Record‑keeping of ICT assets.
