Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Refrigeration

About the role

Join Gordon Brothers Industries, now part of Johnson Controls, as a Technical Sales Engineer focused on industrial refrigeration and heat pump solutions across Australia. You will drive new business, work closely with engineering teams, and manage end‑to‑end sales cycles for major projects in mining, chemicals, and food & beverage.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new opportunities in the Australian industrial refrigeration market.
• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to create designs, costings, and proposals.
• Use specialist selection software to optimise equipment choices and manage SFDC bid processes.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to determine pricing and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Johnson Controls safety and ethics policies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in industrial refrigeration.
• Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred but not essential).
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Commercial awareness, strategic thinking and a consultative approach.
• Proactive, collaborative and customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Industrial refrigeration product knowledge and solution sales.
• Experience with SFDC (Salesforce) for bid and pipeline management.
• Use of specialist selection software for equipment optimisation.
