Technical Recruiter for Engineering & Product Teams

About the role

GitLab is seeking a Technical Recruiter to help build its engineering and product teams behind the DevSecOps platform. In this individual contributor role you will partner with leaders across Engineering, Product, Security, and UX, managing searches from intake through close while fostering inclusive pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle searches for roles such as Backend/Frontend Engineers, SREs, Security Engineers, Data Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Product Managers.
• Lead intake conversations, align hiring teams on role scope, technical requirements, interview plans, and timelines.
• Partner with hiring teams to design structured, equitable technical interviews and provide actionable feedback.
• Develop diversity‑focused sourcing plans using talent‑market research, compensation benchmarks, and candidate feedback.
• Deliver a thoughtful candidate experience through disciplined pipeline management, proactive communication, and clear offer negotiations.

Required profile

• Intermediate‑level recruiting experience with a track record of owning full‑cycle searches independently.
• Technical recruiting experience or strong interest in learning engineering and product disciplines.
• Ability to build stakeholder trust, influence without authority, and manage hiring team expectations.
• Data‑informed approach to turn funnel insights into practical actions.

Required skills

• Experience with applicant tracking systems, especially Greenhouse.
• Proficiency with recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Insights, SeekOut, or comparable platforms.
• Ability to evaluate AI‑generated work responsibly and protect confidential information.
