Technical Product Manager - AI Neobank

About the role

BJAK is building an AI‑native Neobank Superapp for Southeast Asia, covering payments, remittance, insurance, wealth and trading. The Technical Product Manager will own a product vertical end‑to‑end, shaping strategy, technical design and delivery while ensuring regulatory compliance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own product strategy, metrics, roadmap and delivery for a vertical.
• Shape technical design with engineering across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security and scalability.
• Drive trade‑offs among correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements and user experience.
• Integrate regulatory requirements such as KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy and licensing.
• Apply AI where it improves outcomes, with clear evaluation, safeguards, human oversight and failure handling.
• Ship products that depend on external regulatory approvals, financial rails and third‑party partners.
• Align engineering, design, compliance, operations, treasury and finance around product decisions and launch requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience delivering complex technical products.
• Strong technical foundation in system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes and distributed systems.
• Experience in regulated domains such as payments, banking, remittance, insurance or trading.
• Proven ability to make difficult trade‑offs under technical, regulatory and operational constraints.
• Experience building or evaluating AI/LLM‑powered products, including reliability and when AI should not be used.
