Technical IT Support Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technical IT Support Officer to join our growing technology business in Melbourne. This full‑time, office‑based position is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of hands‑on IT support experience who wants to deepen their technical expertise while working in a supportive small‑team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to customers and reseller partners.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and cloud‑based application issues.
• Log and manage support tickets through to resolution.
• Configure and deploy hardware and software solutions, including mobile devices.
• Test hardware devices prior to dispatch.
• Liaise with software vendors and developers to resolve technical problems.
• Deliver customer onboarding and product training.
• Assist with internal IT systems, backups, and network monitoring.
• Occasional on‑site visits for support and training.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems or a related field.
• 2–3 years experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk or Technical Support role.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Full unrestricted Australian working rights.

• Windows operating environments.
• Microsoft Server technologies.
• Microsoft 365, Exchange and Active Directory.
• Networking concepts such as VPNs, firewalls and port forwarding.
