Technical Field Service Support (Maintenance Troubleshooter)

About the role

KONE is looking for a Maintenance Troubleshooter to join its Service team in Newcastle, reporting to the Branch Manager. The role provides specialist technical support across Newcastle, the Central Coast and Northern NSW, travelling to Coffs Harbour and Armidale when needed to help technicians with complex troubleshooting and critical breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the maintenance team by diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues and sharing technical knowledge across the business.
• Perform first visits and assessments of new equipment when required by supervisors or sales teams.
• Support the resolution of complex call-outs and technical issues through remote assistance and onsite support when required.
• Enhance the technical capability of Maintenance Technicians by identifying root causes and explaining effective solutions.
• Carry out all activities in line with KONE policies and procedures, including health, safety and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and responsive service.

Required profile

• Lift industry experience required.
• Current NSW Electrical Licence.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting complex lift and escalator faults.
• Experience managing critical breakdowns and stakeholder expectations.
• Motivated self-starter able to manage competing priorities, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Customer-focused approach, excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to coach and develop the technical capability of Maintenance Technicians.
• Applicants must be a permanent resident or Australian citizen, or a New Zealand citizen.
