About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an experienced Storage Architect to design and deliver scalable file and S3 object storage solutions for AI, analytics, and enterprise workloads. This remote, customer‑facing position influences solution design, adoption, and product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with customers to architect enterprise‑scale file and object storage solutions for AI inference, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), analytics, and data‑lake workloads.
• Size storage environments based on capacity, throughput, latency, network bandwidth, growth, availability, and workload requirements.
• Lead technical workshops, assessments, benchmarks, and hands‑on proofs of concept (POCs).
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in S3 object storage, NFS, and SMB protocols.
• Translate customer requirements into product feedback and roadmap recommendations.

Required profile

• 7+ years designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise storage and data architectures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong customer‑facing architecture, consulting, or presales experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel for customer engagements.

Required skills

• S3 object storage concepts (buckets, APIs, authentication, data protection).
• Enterprise file protocols, especially NFS and SMB.
• Understanding of AI inference, RAG, vector databases, data lakes/Lakehouses, and large‑scale analytics pipelines.
• Performance concepts: throughput, latency, IOPS, metadata performance, concurrency, network bandwidth.
• Experience with storage platforms such as Dell PowerScale/ObjectScale, Pure Storage FlashBlade, NetApp ONTAP/StorageGRID, VAST Data, Scality, or other S3‑compatible solutions.
