Team Leader Waste Operations

About the role

The Atherton team of Tablelands Regional Council is looking for an experienced, accountable and community-focused leader to join its Waste department as a full-time permanent Team Leader Waste Operations. The role provides effective and efficient oversight and leadership of waste and recycling services at the eight waste transfer stations and active and closed landfills, meeting the needs of the local community.

Operations must follow the Environmental Authority requirements for the waste sites, as well as relevant Waste Levy and Environmental Protection legislation. The position is based in Atherton.

• Base salary package from $101,059.06 per year ($3,886.89 per fortnight), with additional claimable allowances included.
• 76-hour fortnight with a 9-day fortnight roster (RDO).
