Team Leader, Bridges & Structures

About the role

SMEC is seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Team Leader for its Bridges & Structures capability in Brisbane. You will lead a high‑performing multidisciplinary team, shape client relationships and drive the delivery of major infrastructure projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing Bridges & Structures team.
• Drive business growth through client relationship management, market engagement and business development activities.
• Identify, pursue and secure opportunities in transport and infrastructure markets.
• Oversee the delivery of complex bridges and structures projects from planning through to completion.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to engineers and designers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bridge and structural engineering leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage project profitability.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
