Teacher of Heavy Vehicles / Mobile Plant - Paid to Learn

About the role

TAFE NSW is seeking a permanent full-time teacher to deliver Heavy Vehicles / Mobile Plant courses at its Wagga Wagga campus. The role sits within the Automotive Industries team and offers ongoing training, professional development, health and wellbeing programs and flexible working options.

Required profile

• Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications, including a minimum of Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Mobile Plant Technology, or equivalent.
• A Fair-Trading NSW tradesperson certificate (license) in Motor Mechanic, or eligibility to obtain one if applying from interstate.
• An ARC refrigeration license is highly regarded but not essential.
• Teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training, or willingness to complete the 14-week paid-to-learn course.
• Minimum of five years of post-qualification experience in the industry, gained no more than five years ago.
• Working with Children Check, and Australian citizenship or permanent residency (or New Zealand citizenship with a current passport).

What we offer

• Salary package of $111,798 to $132,585, depending on experience (salary range $98,499 to $116,813 plus employer superannuation and annual leave loading).
• Paid-to-learn pathway: candidates without a teaching qualification can be paid while completing the 14-week training and assessment course, with guaranteed work after completion.
