About the role

Aspect Hunter School is seeking a dedicated teacher for a maximum‑term position to support students on the autism spectrum from Kindergarten to Year 12. You will join a passionate team that values evidence‑informed practice and a student‑centred approach.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver individualized learning programs aligned with best‑practice autism education.
• Collaborate daily with a teacher aide, families, school psychologist, speech and occupational therapists.
• Maintain small class environments that foster engagement and reduce anxiety.
• Monitor and record student progress, contributing to data‑driven reporting.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to adjust strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Education) and registration where required.
• Experience or strong interest in autism or special‑needs education.
• Commitment to collaborative, evidence‑based practice.
