Tax Specialist

About the role

We are creating a dedicated Tax Specialist position to bring in‑house expertise to LK Property Group. Working closely with the Tax Manager, you will provide technical depth across tax compliance, advisory and reporting for a diverse portfolio of property and related businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review income tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and other statutory lodgements.
• Support tax advice on property acquisitions, disposals, restructures and new ventures.
• Assess GST implications on property transactions, including margin scheme and mixed‑use scenarios.
• Assist in managing payroll tax, land tax and stamp duty exposure across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare current and deferred tax provisions for month‑end and year‑end reporting.
• Contribute to the Group’s tax governance framework and risk reporting.
• Monitor legislative and Australian Tax Office (ATO) developments relevant to the Group.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce or Law.
• 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a Big 4, mid‑tier or corporate tax function.
• Strong knowledge of Australian income tax, GST, consolidations and property tax.
• Ability to form well‑reasoned positions under guidance and time pressure.
• Clear communication skills and a passion for tax structures and rulings.
