Talent Acquisition Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Team Lead to head our recruitment function across Australia and several international markets. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for building high‑performing recruiting teams, shaping hiring strategy and ensuring delivery of quality talent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a talent acquisition team of 15‑20 recruiters and trainees.
• Set team goals, KPIs and hiring targets; conduct regular coaching, performance reviews and development planning.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable culture that drives recruiter productivity, engagement and retention.
• Identify skill gaps and implement continuous learning initiatives for the team.
• Design and execute recruitment strategies to support business growth in Australia, Nepal, Thailand, Taiwan and other assigned markets.
• Partner with business leaders to understand workforce planning, align hiring activities with organisational objectives and analyse talent market trends.
• Oversee recruitment delivery for Australia‑based positions, ensuring compliance with local practices and market demands.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and future hiring needs.
• Design and deliver onboarding and training programmes for new recruiters and trainees, covering candidate sourcing techniques and interview best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and scaling talent acquisition teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner with senior business leaders.
• Deep understanding of Australian recruitment practices, market trends and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to set performance metrics, coach staff and drive continuous improvement.
• Strategic mindset with experience developing hiring strategies for multiple geographic markets.
