Talent Acquisition Consultant – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking a high‑performing Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our Bowen Hills office on a six‑month fixed‑term basis. You will act as a trusted talent partner, delivering end‑to‑end recruitment solutions for mid to senior engineering roles across Environment, Water, Transport and Buildings portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for mid‑to‑senior positions across Engineering, Environment, Water, Transport and Buildings sectors.
• Partner closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand workforce needs and design tailored hiring strategies.
• Proactively source, engage and assess high‑quality talent using direct, market‑led and innovative approaches.
• Balance high volume and complex hiring demands while maintaining quality outcomes.
• Provide market insights, guidance and best‑practice recruitment advice to stakeholders.
• Leverage recruitment systems, emerging technology and process improvements to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
• Ensure strong governance, process compliance and an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong mix of internal (in‑house) and agency recruitment experience.
• Proven success recruiting mid‑to‑senior professionals in engineering technical or operational environments.
• Ability to work at pace, manage competing priorities and deliver results.
• Confidence partnering with business managers and senior leaders.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience with recruitment systems and ATS platforms (Workday preferred).
• Comfort using AI‑enabled tools, data insights and process improvements to drive smarter recruitment.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong commercial acumen.
• Agile approach with the ability to pivot quickly as hiring demands evolve.
• Experience in Engineering, Environment, Water, Transport or Buildings sectors is highly regarded.
