Systems Engineer – Hybrid Role

About the role

This hybrid Systems Engineer position is based in Perth and requires working on average two days per week from an HPE office. You will work with industry‑leading networking technologies, including AI‑enabled, cloud‑based, software‑defined and security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with account teams to develop opportunities and drive sales of HPE Networking solutions across a broad range of accounts.
• Advise customers on short‑ and long‑term product directions to support their digital transformation.
• Deliver compelling presentations, develop technical solutions and business cases, and respond to RFPs.
• Work on complex technical issues, prepare detailed product specifications, and lead proof‑of‑concept demonstrations.
• Collaborate with vendor partners to generate demand and deliver events.

Required profile

• 10+ years of pre‑sales or technical sales experience in large enterprise or government accounts.
• Proven track record in designing and selling complex networking and security solutions.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to executive audiences.
• Strong customer relationships as a trusted advisor.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of network architectures, cloud‑based solutions and security architectures.
• Experience with AI‑driven networks, automation, campus, branch, wireless, SD‑WAN, MPLS and data‑centre architectures.
• Hands‑on expertise with Juniper products (Mist, EX, QFX, SRX, MX, ACX, PTX, JUNOS) and related certifications.
• Familiarity with Aruba solutions and certifications (ACMA, ACMP, ACMX, ACDX).
