Systems Administrator – Melbourne

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join Atturra Managed Services in Melbourne. The role will provide advanced operational support, handle escalations and drive continuous improvement across both customer and internal environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform root‑cause analysis, implement permanent fixes and reduce recurring incidents.
• Maintain monitoring, alerting, patching and overall health of managed services platforms.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server services (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, RDS, IIS, file services).
• Manage Windows 10/11 endpoint configuration, hardening, patching and lifecycle.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID and Intune.
• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtual environments.
• Administer enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault), conduct health checks and support disaster‑recovery activities.
• Create and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Ansible) and technical documentation.
• Support project‑to‑operations transitions and on‑call/after‑hours support as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Microsoft server and workstation administration.
• Strong problem‑management and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with service delivery managers, project teams and customers.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations.

• Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, RDS, IIS.
• Windows 10/11 endpoint management and hardening.
• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune).

• SAN/NAS storage concepts and capacity planning.
• Veeam and Commvault backup and recovery.
• PowerShell scripting and Ansible automation.
