Systems Administrator – Linux & Windows (NV1 Clearance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join IAG Defence & National Security’s ICT team. The role involves supporting and maintaining critical Linux and Windows environments within a secure, defence‑focused setting, requiring an NV1 security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 administration for Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows servers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software and network components.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose faults, tune performance and execute recovery procedures.
• Maintain system documentation, configuration records and software deployment processes.
• Ensure continuous availability and reliability of mission‑critical ICT services.

Required profile

• Current NV1 security clearance.
• Proven experience administering Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, system integration and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Knowledge of Information Assurance and cyber‑security principles in secure ICT operations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
