Systems Administrator

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Systems Administrator to support critical Defence capabilities across multiple Tactical Data Link and network engineering projects. You will manage enterprise Windows Server, Linux, virtualisation and VDI environments that underpin testing and operational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, VMware ESX, Hyper‑V, Omnissia Horizon and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
• Support infrastructure projects, disaster recovery exercises, cyber‑security compliance and continuous improvement initiatives within a highly secure environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in complex enterprise ICT environments supporting Windows Server and Linux.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
• VMware ESX, Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Omnissia Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
• NetApp storage and Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Understanding of Whole of Australian Government ICT security requirements and ACSC ISM controls.
