System Administrator

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a System Administrator to support a multi‑tenanted, high‑assurance network. The role focuses on administering compute, storage, networking, firewalls, client delivery services and infrastructure applications while ensuring security and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments and related services.
• Manage storage solutions, including Fibre Channel, Pure Storage and VMware hypervisors.
• Implement and maintain identity management and multi‑factor authentication (Active Directory, Federation Services, RSA).
• Design, deploy and support Citrix XenApp, Virtual Delivery Agent and Gateway for desktop and application delivery.
• Build and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
• Administer Cisco UCS servers and fabric interconnects.
• Monitor system performance, support capacity planning and execute backup and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with technical lead, cyber GRC specialist and other administrators on solution design and reviews.

Required profile

• Strong background in high‑assurance, security‑focused system administration.
• Experience with Windows Server, storage integration and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in identity management, MFA and Citrix delivery platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux (RHEL) and Cisco UCS hardware.
• Knowledge of the Australian Signals Directorate Information Security Manual (ISM).
• Ability to produce clear documentation and work inclusively within diverse teams.
• Active Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) security clearance and a valid Australian driver’s licence.
