Supervising Producer

About the role

News24 is seeking a Supervising Producer to lead the editorial direction of its daily news programming. Based in the Surry Hills newsroom, you will make high‑level decisions on story selection, program structure and ensure the channel remains first to report with accurate, compelling coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Decide on‑air content, story treatments and program structure to deliver engaging news.
• Guide a team of producers, assign tasks and provide actionable feedback.
• Monitor external sources to ensure News24 is first to report and verify developing stories.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, studio staff and editors to deliver premium broadcasts.
• Review scripts for legal compliance and enforce News Corp and ANC policies.

Required profile

• Exceptional editorial judgement honed in a high‑pressure news environment.
• Deep knowledge of Australian politics and strong understanding of international affairs, especially US politics.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct a team of producers.
• Hands‑on experience with modern broadcast production techniques and newsroom systems.
• Excellent planning, time‑management and multitasking skills.
