Submarine Platform Instructor

About the role

ASC is seeking experienced former submariners to join its training team at the Royal Australian Navy’s submarine training facility on HMAS Stirling. In this role you will deliver both classroom and practical scenario training using dedicated submarine training systems and innovative virtual technologies, sharing your real‑world expertise with the next generation of submariners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver submarine systems training in classroom, practical and virtual environments.
• Assess student knowledge and skill development across the full range of submarine systems.
• Assist with training development and instructional design.
• Maintain and develop your own expertise as a submarine systems specialist and education professional.

Required profile

• Qualified former submariner with experience in Collins Class submarine mechanical and electrical systems.
• Current National Police Clearance and Australian Defence Security Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain them).
