Structural, Mechanical & Piping Designer

About the role

Nexmin is seeking Structural, Mechanical and Piping Designers to develop engineering designs for mining and minerals projects. Reporting to the Manager – Design & Drafting, you will create and manage design outputs from concept models through to detailed deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, manage and deliver design and drafting outputs in line with project requirements.
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings, models and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design integrity.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and specifications.
• Participate in internal and project milestone design reviews.
• Support project delivery across all stages from concept to execution.

Required profile

• Certificate III or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mining or heavy‑industry projects (essential).
• Strong leadership abilities for senior‑level positions.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid work rights in Australia.
