Structural Engineer – Construction Engineering (Infrastructure)

About the role

Join a leading global consulting engineering firm to deliver innovative structural solutions for Melbourne’s most significant building projects. This hybrid position places you at the interface between design and construction, working closely with contractors and delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist staged analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design for large‑scale commercial, residential, health, education and mixed‑use developments.
• Design and document innovative temporary works and assess their impact on permanent structures.
• Develop detailed structural designs for infrastructure permanent works, from tender through construction.
• Liaise with clients, project directors and associates to align design intent and project delivery.
• Manage project resources and ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification with a focus on structural engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with temporary works design is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in transport, energy, industrial or civil infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
