Structural Engineer - Building Structures

About the role

A respected multi-disciplined engineering consultancy, part of a global engineering group and based on the Sunshine Coast, is looking for a Structural Engineer with around five years' experience in building structures. The work covers building and infrastructure projects, from smaller jobs you can own start to finish to large, complex ones, with a strong national and international team behind you.

Key responsibilities

• Structural design of building projects, from concept through to detailed design: calculations, analysis models, sketches and reports
• Reviewing structural documentation and coordinating with architects, consultants and the wider project team
• Client and project meetings, plus site inspections
• Taking ownership of smaller projects and project elements, with support as you step up
• Exposure to infrastructure projects if you want the variety

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Around 5 years' experience in the structural design of building projects in Australia
• Chartered, or keen to work towards it
• Based on the Sunshine Coast, or ready to make the move
• Full Australian working rights; sponsorship is not available

Required skills

• Sound technical knowledge of concrete and steel
• Timber and masonry are a bonus
