Strategy Manager

About the role

Deloitte's Monitor strategy practice is looking for a Strategy Manager with in-depth experience in one of its industries: Consumer, ER&I, Financial Services, Government & Public Sector or TMT. The role involves leading project teams, managing client relationships and turning sector insights into strategic recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of project teams and take ownership of a project's direction and outcomes
• Manage client relationships and build strong relationships across the sector
• Work with clients to solve their key business challenges
• Manage project finances and identify and address project risks early
• Assist Directors and Partners in defining project scopes and requirements
• Pursue new client opportunities and contribute to proposal development
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Contribute to the practice's growth through thought leadership and knowledge sharing, and support recruitment, onboarding and team culture

Required profile

• Tertiary degree with an outstanding academic record
• Demonstrated strategy consulting experience in a Tier 1 consulting firm or strategy boutique
• End-to-end strategy design and execution across small and large projects
• Proven team leadership, mentoring and people management capabilities
• Effective communication skills and stakeholder management

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of the chosen industry, including customer expectations, competition, regulation and market forces
• Understanding of sector trends and how emerging technologies such as AI are integrated
• Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills with mature judgment
