Strategy Analyst – Institutional Banking

About the role

The Strategy Analyst will work within ANZ’s Institutional division, supporting senior leaders in shaping and executing the bank’s strategic direction. The role involves translating market, regulatory and customer insights into actionable propositions and tracking transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support development, execution and communication of Institutional strategy and divisional priorities.
• Conduct data analysis to identify growth opportunities, revenue pools and emerging business trends.
• Coordinate strategic initiatives across business units and stakeholders.
• Track progress of major transformation programs against objectives.
• Provide data‑driven insights and hypothesis testing to drive simplification, efficiency and growth.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform decision‑making.
• Assist in developing customer segmentation strategies and value propositions.

Required profile

• Experience and understanding of Institutional banking or related financial services.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work with senior leaders and influence strategic outcomes.
