Storesperson with Gantry Crane Experience

About the role

A Brisbane-based steel industry client is looking for an experienced storesperson to support its daily warehouse and freight operations. The role involves operating forklifts and gantry cranes in a busy steel environment, on a Monday to Friday day shift starting at 8am. It is advertised as a casual position at $38.99-$39.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and gantry cranes safely and efficiently
• Move steel coils weighing up to 2 tonnes accurately
• Load and unload trucks
• Coordinate and book freight
• Maintain accurate inventory and complete stocktakes
• Provide service support to clients
• Follow safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Work collaboratively as part of the stores team

Required profile

• Current LF forklift licence
• Previous gantry crane experience
• Steel industry experience preferred
• Ability to safely handle steel products
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work effectively within a team
