Storeperson

About the role

Cummins Inc is looking for a Storeperson to join its Mackay team on a day-shift roster. Previous warehousing or stores experience is a plus, but the company is happy to fully train the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming goods against invoices, then sort, label and store stock safely to optimise warehouse space
• Pick, pack and dispatch outgoing orders accurately and on schedule
• Process orders and enter system data so inventory records stay accurate and up to date
• Carry out regular cycle counts and routine stocktakes to maintain stock control
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and transport partners on deliveries and orders
• Keep the work area clean, organised and safe at all times

Required profile

• Previous warehousing or stores experience is a plus; new candidates can be trained
• Current forklift licence is advantageous
• Ability to work independently with a strong commitment to safe and efficient work practices
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude

Required skills

• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Excel
• Ability to pick up new systems quickly
