Stakeholder and Business Engagement Manager

About the role

Georgiou, a STRABAG company, is hiring a Stakeholder and Business Engagement Manager for its Wave Stage 1 Brownfield package at Beerwah. The package covers critical upgrades including heavy rail works, a major station overhaul and integration with the North Coast Line and the Beerburrum-Nambour Rail Upgrade. The role sits within the civil and engineering teams and involves advising project leaders, managing stakeholder risks and overseeing engagement programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to project leaders and manage stakeholder risks
• Oversee engagement programs and ensure community impacts are communicated and mitigated through planning, design and construction
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, government agencies, local councils, residents, businesses, Traditional Owners and other key stakeholders
• Advise on stakeholder risks, community sentiment and reputational matters
• Ensure compliance with client, contractual and governance requirements
• Foster a strong community relations culture across project teams and coach and mentor project personnel
• Lead community relations resources and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Represent the Alliance and the project at community events, engagement activities and public-facing forums

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years' experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement or communications
• Significant experience on major infrastructure, construction or complex project environments
• Proven ability to develop and lead stakeholder engagement strategies across project lifecycles, especially business-to-business
• Strong experience managing sensitive stakeholder issues, complaints and reputational risks

• Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
• Ability to give strategic advice to senior leaders and clients
