Speech Pathology Manager

About the role

Goulburn Valley Health is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to lead its Speech Pathology service in a permanent full-time leadership role (80 hours per fortnight, Graham Street, Shepparton). The manager leads service development, workforce planning, clinical governance and quality improvement across acute, subacute, outpatient and specialist programs, while maintaining an appropriate clinical caseload. The role sits within a collaborative Allied Health leadership team and works closely with the Divisional Operations Director.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical governance, operational leadership and strategic direction for Speech Pathology services
• Support patient flow and improve outcomes across the care continuum
• Lead service development, workforce planning and quality improvement initiatives
• Work with the Allied Health leadership team and the Divisional Operations Director
• Maintain an appropriate clinical caseload

Required profile

• Strong clinical Speech Pathology experience
• Demonstrated leadership capability or readiness to step into a management role
• Experience supporting service improvement, patient flow, workforce development and clinical governance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Collaborative, patient-centred approach and commitment to team and self-development
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
• Eligibility for Certified Practicing membership (Speech Pathology Australia)
• Current driver's licence
