Speech Pathologist (NDIS)

About the role

Ability Action Australia's Gold Coast team, which has supported NDIS participants since 2021, is looking for a Speech Pathologist. The role works across home, school, clinic, telehealth and the wider community, with a strengths-based approach to assessment, treatment plans and interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and deliver therapy services in a timely, impactful way.
• Support participants across home, school, clinic, telehealth and the community.
• Use clinical observations and standardised assessments to set therapy goals.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that improve quality of life.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including OTs, physiotherapists, psychologists and behaviour support practitioners.
• Mentor junior clinicians (for experienced therapists).
• Ensure compliance with current NDIS requirements.

Required profile

• Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Post-graduate experience as a Speech Pathologist.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A proactive, growth-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for the disability sector.

What we offer

• Part-time or full-time, with a minimum of 3 days per week and no weekend work.
• Work close to home, with the main office hub in Ashmore for MDT meetings and training, and the rest of the time working from home.
• Caseloads allocated within about 30 minutes of your home suburb.
