Speech Pathologist

About the role

Join Early Start Australia’s allied health team at the Toowoomba Clinic as a Speech Pathologist. You will provide comprehensive assessment and therapy services to children, young people and their families, delivering care across clinic, home, school and community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client‑specific assessments and develop tailored therapy programs.
• Manage a discipline‑specific caseload, including complex cases, using a case‑management approach.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, parent workshops, and school visits as required.
• Collaborate with allied health professionals to ensure optimal client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate treatment notes and reports in the practice management system (PMS) within 24 hours.
• Align therapy plans with NDIS/NDIA funding, review plans and support correct invoicing.
• Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, WHS, child‑safety and cultural‑competence policies.
• Participate in team meetings, peer reviews and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Speech Pathologist registered to practice in Australia.
• Experience working with children, young people and families in an allied‑health setting.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and deliver services across multiple environments.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, schools and health professionals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Practice Management System (PMS) for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of NDIS/NDIA processes and funding structures.
