Specialist Technician – Systems Engineer for School ICT Support

About the role

Bytewize is looking for experienced Systems Engineers / Specialist Technicians to deliver technical support to Victorian schools through the Technical Support to Schools Program (TSSP). This senior‑level position involves managing ICT infrastructure, supporting staff and students, and ensuring reliable operation of complex enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure across Department of Education schools.
• Administer and support school networks, server environments and cloud services.
• Provide ICT support in large, technology‑driven learning environments.
• Collaborate with school leadership teams and deliver professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in education‑sector ICT or senior corporate IT support.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem‑solving, escalation and communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in Australia, a current driver’s licence and willingness to undergo police checks.

What we offer

• Salary range $90,000 – $110,000 (pro‑rata) AUD, top rates based on skills.
