Special Needs Education Assistant

About the role

Woodland Grove Primary School is building a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants to support students throughout the 2026‑2027 school years. Working under teacher direction, you will help deliver inclusive learning programs and promote the academic, social and emotional development of students with diverse abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing planned education programs for students with special needs.
• Support the use of computers and digital technologies in classroom activities.
• Provide feedback on education and therapy programs and participate in evaluation processes.
• Help create a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with staff.
• Experience or knowledge of working with students who have disabilities or learning difficulties.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa.
• Willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
