Sonographer

About the role

Sunshine Coast Radiology (SCR), part of Integral Diagnostics, is recruiting Sonographers for its expanding network, which includes the new Maroochydore Private Hospital site and the Beerwah clinic. Reporting to the Chief Sonographer, you will perform a varied range of ultrasound examinations in a supportive, patient-focused environment, working alongside experienced Sonographers, Radiologists, O&G Sonologists and administrative teams. Full-time, part-time and casual positions are available.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound and musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging
• Carry out obstetrics and gynaecology scans
• Perform vascular ultrasound
• Work in a mix of private practice and hospital-based settings
• Take part in a rotating after-hours on-call roster, generally between 5 pm and 8 am

Required profile

• Bachelor of Medical Sonography, Graduate Diploma or Master of Medical Ultrasound, with current ASAR accreditation
• Ideally two or more years of postgraduate ultrasound experience
• Competency across general, obstetrics and gynaecology and vascular imaging
• Interest in MSK and/or breast imaging
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team, with strong communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Required skills

• Ultrasound imaging
• Experience with Canon equipment (highly regarded)
