Solicitor – Litigation & Regulatory (Melbourne)

About the role

DLA Piper is seeking a motivated Solicitor to join its Litigation & Regulatory practice in Melbourne. Working closely with Kieran O'Brien, Global Co‑Chair of Class Actions and Mass Torts, you will be exposed to high‑profile, complex disputes across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior lawyers on class actions, mass torts and other high‑stakes litigation matters.
• Collaborate with teams across international jurisdictions on cross‑border disputes.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage case files for clients in life sciences, manufacturing, sport, insurance, and food & beverage sectors.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to provide strategic advice and updates.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience in private practice.
• Strong background in litigation and dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to client service.
