Software Engineer – Robotics (C++/Python)

About the role
Join a cutting‑edge robotics software company developing autonomy and perception systems for harsh maritime environments. You will write production‑grade code that runs on operational vessels, bridging advanced robotics, AI, and real‑world deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop production robotics software using C++ and Python.
- Create algorithms for navigation, path planning, guidance, and control.
- Develop and validate algorithms in simulation before field deployment.
- Troubleshoot across the full stack, from software and algorithms to hardware integration.
Required profile
- Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Australian citizenship with eligibility for Baseline security clearance.
- 3–5 years of engineering experience in C++ and Python.
- Experience with ROS2 or similar robotics middleware (desired).
- Proficiency with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
