Software Engineer – .NET & Angular (Contract or Permanent)

About the role

As a Software Engineer at NCS Australia you will design, develop and maintain robust backend web services while also creating intuitive frontend experiences. The role offers technical variety, allowing you to work across the .NET stack and modern JavaScript frameworks in large‑scale IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using C#, ASP.NET, WPF and WCF.
• Build responsive frontend applications with Angular and related JavaScript technologies.
• Champion Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) throughout the lifecycle.
• Create and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Appium and SpecFlow.
• Manage continuous testing and build pipelines with TFS and MSTest.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, refine user stories and define acceptance criteria.
• Conduct peer reviews, ensure documentation quality and uphold the Definition of Done.
• Mentor junior team members and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with the .NET ecosystem (C#, ASP.NET, WPF, WCF).
• Proficiency in Angular or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong background in automated testing, TDD/BDD, and CI/CD tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of end‑to‑end delivery.
