Software Engineer

About the role

Beca Digital is expanding its software development practice in Australia. As a Software Engineer you will join a 17‑person digital team and collaborate with engineers across Australia and New Zealand to deliver cloud‑native, enterprise‑grade solutions that improve everyday life.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy full‑stack, cloud‑native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Apply best practices in software engineering, DevOps and agile delivery.
• Work with APIs, distributed systems, and storage solutions to integrate client systems.
• Participate in planning, estimation, feature development and ongoing support throughout the software lifecycle.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience developing cloud‑based software, web applications and system integrations.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills to translate between clients, business and technical teams.
• Commitment to quality service and proactive issue resolution.
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Ability to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.
