Software Engineer – AI‑enhanced Command & Control Systems

About the role

Praetorian Aeronautics is looking for a Software Engineer to help build Hadrian, an AI‑enhanced command and control platform that coordinates autonomous defence against drone swarms. You will work on core services that turn advanced autonomy research into operational capability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance services for counter‑UAS operations.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to integrate swarm‑analysis algorithms.
• Design, implement, and maintain Rust applications and services on Linux.
• Test, profile, and optimise software for reliability in operational environments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience writing efficient system‑level software.
• Strong programming background in Rust, C++ or similar languages.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience contributing to complex or distributed software systems.
