Software Engineer – AI & LLM Solutions

About the role

Doghouse Agency is looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Artificial Intelligence to design, develop, and support production software across its SaaS products, client platforms, and internal systems. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and cloud‑native solutions that incorporate large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation, semantic search, and workflow automation.

Key responsibilities

• Research, analyse and evaluate business and technical requirements for AI‑driven applications.
• Design software architecture for RAG pipelines, conversational interfaces, semantic search services, embedding‑based retrieval systems and agent‑based workflows.
• Develop, maintain and optimise code using Python, PHP (Laravel), JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL.
• Integrate commercial and open‑source LLMs, vector databases, APIs and orchestration frameworks.
• Build data ingestion, extraction, transformation, embedding and indexing pipelines for semantic retrieval.
• Train, evaluate and optimise machine‑learning models and retrieval performance.
• Test, debug and resolve defects while adhering to security and quality standards.
• Deploy and support applications on AWS using automated pipelines.
• Monitor production systems, analyse operational metrics and implement continuous improvement.
• Document technical designs, procedures and provide architectural guidance.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering production‑grade software solutions.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as large language models, RAG and semantic search.
• Ability to work with cloud environments, particularly AWS.
