About the role
HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for a social volunteer to spend time with a gentleman who enjoys audiobooks, good conversation, country life, sailing, Australian history and walks. Each visit is simply about sharing company, fresh air and interesting chats for around an hour a week.
Key responsibilities
- Visit the gentleman once a week or every two weeks, depending on availability, for about an hour.
- Share company, fresh air and interesting conversations.
- Meet his small friendly dog, who loves joining in.
Required profile
- 18 years or older.
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
- Availability for an hour visit between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday.
