SOC Analyst – 6+ Month Contract in Melbourne

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our Melbourne team on a 6‑month contract. The analyst will play a key role in monitoring, detecting and responding to security incidents while supporting remediation activities across our environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk and/or Microsoft Sentinel) to identify and investigate security alerts.
• Coordinate remediation efforts for endpoint, infrastructure and network security tools.
• Manage vulnerability management platforms and track remediation progress.
• Review penetration test reports and drive remediation tracking.
• Document findings and maintain evidence for audit readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in security engineering, SecOps or blue‑team roles.
• Hands‑on experience with NIST CSF or NIST 800 frameworks.
• Full working rights in Australia.
