Small Animal Veterinarian (Part-Time or Full-Time)

About the role

Wellpets, an independent veterinary practice founded in 1995, is looking for a qualified veterinarian to join its team. The role suits someone who wants a mix of medicine and surgery without after-hours work, in a supportive environment where you can keep learning and develop your skills.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients and provide high-quality care for their pets
• Perform routine and complex surgeries, from desexing to soft tissue procedures
• Use advanced diagnostic tools such as digital radiography, ultrasound and in-house lab equipment
• Deliver preventive health care, including vaccinations, parasite control and wellness checks
• Educate and support pet owners and build strong client relationships
• Collaborate with a skilled nursing team and experienced colleagues
• Respond to emergencies confidently and maintain accurate clinical records

Required profile

• A qualified veterinarian registered (or eligible) in Queensland
• At least 2 years' experience in small animal practice
• Confident handling of both routine and complex cases
• Driven to lead, grow and mentor a team while delivering excellent patient care
• Strong communicator who builds meaningful client relationships
