Shunt Driver (Springwood)

About the role

Tip Top Bakeries, part of George Weston Foods, is looking for an HR licensed driver for its Springwood operation. The role covers yard movements and short local transfers, with a supported plan to upgrade your licence to HC (fully funded by the employer). It is a multi-skilled logistics position, not a full-time driving role, and includes hands-on work such as trailer setup, dock readiness and assisting warehouse picking.

Key responsibilities

• Move trailers safely around the site and to nearby depots
• Position trailers at docks and support site logistics
• Assist with load readiness, pre-dispatch checks and paperwork
• Work closely with warehouse and distribution teams to keep freight moving
• Follow Chain of Responsibility (COR), safety and quality requirements

Required profile

• HR truck licence held for approximately 12 months or close to it
• Confident operating trucks in busy site environments
• Willingness to work hands-on between driving tasks
• Previous yard, local or FMCG experience is an advantage but not essential
• Previous experience is not required; only 1 year of driving experience is needed
