Service Technician – 24/7 Shift

About the role
CDC Data Centres is expanding its Sydney facility and is looking for Service Technicians to join a 24/7 shift roster. You will work in a live data centre environment, supporting power, cooling and fire systems that keep mission‑critical infrastructure running.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor alarms and alerts across power, cooling and fire systems.
- Perform physical inspections to verify equipment operates within defined parameters.
- Respond to faults, prioritize actions and coordinate escalation or contractor support when needed.
- Carry out operational switching and control activities to avoid unplanned outages.
- Support planned maintenance and supervise contractors while enforcing safety procedures.
- Document incidents, maintenance actions and observations for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Hands‑on technical background in critical infrastructure, HVAC, electrical trades or similar industrial environments.
- Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off).
- Strong focus on safety, procedural compliance and the impact of your work.
