Service Electrician - Remote Kimberley Infrastructure

About the role

KRSP is looking for a skilled Service Electrician to join its team and help maintain the reliable operation of essential infrastructure across the Kimberley. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the role covers routine preventative maintenance and responding to unexpected breakdowns in power generation and distribution, as well as potable water assets such as bore fields, storage, pumping stations, filtration and treatment facilities, disinfection processes and wastewater infrastructure. The work is driven between Broome and remote Kimberley communities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on power stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
• Identify and report preventative maintenance needs and non-compliance issues
• Complete all required electronic and paper documentation accurately

Required profile

• Electrical licence
• Proven experience in a field service role in at least one essential service area (power, water or wastewater)
• Valid C class driver's licence with a clear driving record
• Strong work ethics, integrity, safe work practices and a positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work in remote locations, including driving on unsealed roads
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team

Desirable: Medium to Heavy Rigid (MR/HR) driver's licence, First Aid certification including CPR and LVR, and formal certification in instrumentation. The roster is typically 18 days on / 12 days off; flexibility is essential.
