Service Desk Engineer

About the role

The Service Desk Engineer provides hands‑on Level 1 and Level 2 support to QANTM staff across two Melbourne offices. This onsite, people‑focused role ensures a high‑quality technology experience and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide deskside support for laptops, peripherals, printers, connectivity and workplace technology at Bourke Street and Collins Street.
• Support meeting rooms, Microsoft Teams room equipment and presentation technology.
• Manage incidents and service requests in Halo ITSM with accurate records and timely communication.
• Identify recurring user pain points and work with the Technology team to improve services.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end onboarding and off‑boarding of technology.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID/Azure AD within approved procedures.
• Prepare, deploy, maintain and recover laptops and related equipment.
• Apply security‑first practices, including MFA, endpoint compliance and access management.

Required profile

• Practical experience in a Service Desk, desktop support or end‑user computing role handling Level 1 and Level 2 issues.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help people.
• Calm, responsive and professional under pressure, taking ownership of issues.
• Collaborative mindset and curiosity to learn new technologies.
